No, but you need someone. The value isn't the title, it's having one person as obsessed with the problem as you. That can be a cofounder, a first hire with equity, or an advisor who actually shows up. What kills solo founders is isolation, not the org chart.

Operator judgment

Henry Waltz · CTO

Depends on the surface area. If your product spans deep tech and go-to-market, one person can't hold both well. Chronic disease management is exactly that, clinical depth plus distribution. That's a two-person problem, minimum.

Operator judgment

Joe Berrizbeitia · COO

AI closed the gap, but not the one people think. It replaces the junior team, not the cofounder. You can ship without engineers now. You still can't outsource the 2am "should we even keep going" conversation to a model.

Operator judgment

Andres Gomez · CTO

Solo is faster until it isn't. You move quickly with no one to convince, then you hit the wall where you're the bottleneck on everything. The question isn't whether you can start solo. It's whether you can scale solo. Usually not.

Operator judgment

Juan Francisco Verhook · Founder & CTO

VCs still bet on teams for a reason. Solo founders raise less and later, fairly or not. If your path needs venture money, a cofounder isn't just help, it's a fundability signal. If you're bootstrapping, that pressure disappears.
